Denis Hébert, HID Global president and chief executive officer, comments that, “Innovation in the security industry is a state of mind,” as he addresses the attendees of the “HID Global Strategies for Innovation” strategy briefing luncheon.
HID Global, Irvine, Calif., a secure identity solutions provider, hosted the “HID Global Strategies for Innovation” strategy briefing luncheon yesterday at ISC West in Las Vegas. The company used the luncheon to outline the framework for its new Trusted Identity Platform™ or TIP, which the company has deployed within its internal production facilities as a precursor to using it as the framework for future HID Global security identity products and solutions.

At the heart of the TIP framework is a central secure vault that serves known endpoints, such as credentials, readers and printers, on a secure Internet connection, within a published security policy. Data security, privacy and reliability are ensured using symmetric-key cryptography, so that all endpoints can execute trustworthy transactions. This approach delivers security beyond the hardware level, extending trust boundaries to other third party platforms supporting TIP protocols.

Denis Hébert, HID Global president and chief executive officer, addressed the luncheon attendees, discussing the TIP and HID's perspective for innovation. "Innovation in the security industry is a state of mind and can only be driven through a combination of actively listening to customers, strategically investing in technology, being a committed industry participant, and cultivating rock-solid partnerships and alliances," said Hébert.
