Dedicated Micros – part of AD Group – announced at ISC West the vandal-proof Dennard 2060 precision outdoor dome camera, with a powerful 36x optical zoom version and pan-tilt-zoom capabilities. The 36x optical zoom has been implemented to deliver enhanced camera performance at both the wide and telephoto end of the lens zoom range. The four-year advance replacement warranty provides long-term service to the user.
The company also demonstrated DV-IP Codec, a single-channel selectable encoder and decoder combination unit designed to increase the flexibility of surveillance networks. Its versatility allows the user to choose whether the unit operates either as a single-channel encoder or a single-channel decoder. The DVIP-Codec, said Mark Provinsal, vice president of marketing and product strategy for Dedicated Micros Inc., “is a response to the market’s demand to use analog cameras remotely as well as to provide an industrial-grade device that displays video streams to a monitor from remote sources on the network."

Dedicated Micros’ is also launching a new, innovative training program to provide high-quality training to its customers in both Web-based and classroom-style formats. The training program will focus on Dedicated Micros’ products, beginning with the new SD series of DVRs, as well as the Digital Sprit 2 series of DVRs, and eventually expanding to the entire product line. The training classes are created based on the users’ involvement with the product, offering different content for installers and operators. The task-oriented training allows users to quickly identify and master relevant information to their situation, according to Dedicated Micros.
