Bosch Security Systems Inc., Fairport, N.Y., launched a new Web site that provides a comprehensive online educational tool designed to help simplify video-over-IP technology for systems integrators, end users and consultants.
The IP Resource Center at www.boschsecurity.us/ip is a solutions-oriented Web portal. It features three sections: a learning center, a design center and a support center. The learning center covers topics such as networking, recording at the edge, compression and image quality. In all, more than 20 topics are presented, along with a glossary, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and a “How do I?” section.
The design center offers users design templates on a variety of systems, from point-to-point systems and full virtual matrix systems, to single camera with DVR recording and multiple camera network recording systems.
The support center provides a comprehensive listing of frequently asked questions about video-over-IP. Users of the IP Resource Center Web site will find instructional videos, information on how to combine new technologies with existing installations, handle bandwidth concerns and access full front and back views of products, such as encoders. Case studies, press releases, datasheets, software and firmware links are also part of the IP Resource Center.
