Backup documentation submitted with essay, including testimonials from responding police, fire or medical agencies;
Whether a representative from the winning company can attend the award presentation at the NBFAA convention/awards gala. |
| The First Line of Defense Award, co-sponsored by SDM Magazine and the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), was designed to recognize the tangible values and rewards security and fire systems bring to communities and the nation.
This award honors the teamwork among security-installing companies, their central stations and their emergency authorities in protecting their customers.
2006 Saving Customers from Carbon Monoxide
A policy of offering carbon monoxide detection and other services to alarm customers saved two lives.
2005 Sound Off to Safety Installing horn strobes in each of 29 units of a condominium building only a few months before a fire broke out saved resident's lives and earned the First Line of Defense award.
