Samsung network video recorder

Samsung Techwin America introduced a network video recorder (NVR) line, with each model providing real-time recording capability at 30 frames per second, CIF resolution and a dual H.264/MJPEG codec. Samsung’s iPOLiS SRN-1670D 16-channel NVR supports up to 16 network video streams in VGA, 4CIF, 1.3-megapixel or 2-megapixel resolutions. Recording rates are up to 120 fps for 1.3 or 2 megapixel images and up to 480 fps for 4CIF high-resolution images. Samsung’s iPOLiS SRN-470D 4-channel NVR records up to four channels of 1.3-megapixel, 2-megapixel or 4CIF input at 120 fps. Record modes include manual, scheduled (continuous/event) and event (pre/post). Recording is selectable for up to 30 sec. of pre-alarm recording and up to six hours of post-alarm recording. The embedded Linux operating system uses H.264 and MJPEG compression and records 48 Mbps.
