Speco Technologies’ newest addition to the IP-based product line is the NVRP4 NVR, which features an embedded Linux system that has the same feel as a PC-format DVR and works with Speco’s PC DVR Series CMPC. It supports H.264, MJPEG and MPEG4 compression for recording and includes dual-gigabit NICs, giving the NVR the ability to handle larger data streams. Each individual channel can support up to 2.5-megapixel cameras, while the last channel will support up to a 5-megapixel camera. The system supports 50-plus IP camera brands and has the ability for integration of other IP camera languages by customer request.
