COPS Monitoring to Open Fifth Central Station

COPS Monitoring, a wholesale alarm monitoring company headquartered in Williamstown, N.J., announced Dallas, Texas as the home of their fifth “hometown” central station. The new 8,000 square foot facility, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2012, will actively share the company’s alarm traffic with their four other networked central stations located in N.J., Fla., Ariz., and Tenn.

“We’re always enthusiastic to open new central stations to serve our alarm dealers, especially in a time when everything around us seems to be downsizing,” stated Jim McMullen, president and chief eperating officer of COPS Monitoring. “Our Texas facility will allow us to connect better with our dealers in this unique region. In addition, each new hometown central station we open further strengthens our redundancy and the dependability of fast response times during difficult conditions. No wholesale monitoring company has more than five central stations and with our unique infrastructure, which exceeds UL 827 standards for central stations, we believe that our technology and reliability is unmatched.”
