BCDVideo, based in Northbrook, Ill., announced at last week’s ISC West that its storage solutions have been optimized for IP video design by HP.

As an HP OEM partner, BCDVideo designs and builds its servers exclusively on HP’s ProLiant Generation 8 platform. This OEM relationship allows BCDVideo to work with HP engineering and product development specialists, as well as access to early HP products – including unreleased offerings – for testing. Among the HP OEM offerings are lifecycle management, controlled firmware updates, customization and branding, all of which help BCDVideo bring its products to market efficiently, the company said.

“Over the past five years, BCDVideo developed a go-to-market solution by working been working closely with the HP server and engineering teams. HP’s ability to share ideas and technologies has been instrumental in our attaining this special status on our IP Video servers,” said Tom Larson, BCDVideo’s director of sales and engineering. “This relationship is significant as it gives our integrator customers an edge in knowing that our builds are proven for enterprise video recording.”

BCDVideo has recently released its SMART Technologies solutions, which provide integrators with full project control remotely anywhere in the world, as well as its SuperNova series of direct access storage arrays built on a 6G SAS technology backplane for up to one petabyte of storage in 22U of rack space. The SuperNova series is covered by a global five-year 24x7x4 DMR on-site warranty, provided by HP.
