Stanley Security, Naperville, Ill., recently announced its partnership with the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) and D. Stafford & Associates to sponsor a series of seminars in 2014 as part of the organization’s Advanced Clery Act Training Program.

Sessions are comprised of a four-day workshop, designed to be comprehensive and intensive training classes. The seminars lecture on all elements of the Clery Act, as well as the 2008 HEOA security and safety requirements, including fire safety, missing persons and the new requirements in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) passed in March 2013. The program begins with basics of the Clery Act and relevant policies, progressing to the discussion of more advanced concepts. The series is geared towards individuals who have not had previous Clery Act training and those who want to enhance their knowledge of the law. The classes are led by Dolores Stafford, president and CEO of D. Stafford & Associates and a recognized expert on the Clery Act, Stanley Security described.

“As an avid supporter of the development of safety and security policies and solutions for higher education campuses, Stanley understands the immense value of education on the intricacies of compliance-driven initiatives of the Clery Act,” said Kyle Gordon, global commercial leader, Higher Education Market Solutions for Stanley Security. “Beyond technology and product security solutions, we’re proud to support Dolores Stafford’s education efforts, and hope her expertise will spread awareness of this integral policy and how compliance significantly enhances a safe campus environment.”
