Telguard is now a cellular service provider for IMPASSA and PowerSeries DSC panels. More specifically, the DSC panels include the IMPASSA 3G2055-TEL and TL2553G-TEL models and the PowerSeries 3G2060R-TEL and TL2603GR-TEL models. With Telguard as another option for cellular connectivity, DSC customers can now choose between DSC’s own Connect24 and Telguard, without losing the features or UL certifications they have come to expect.

Telguard delivers coverage through a single SIM card for the U.S. and Canada. In the U.S. the SIM card operates on the AT&T nationwide cellular network, and in Canada it provides expanded pan-Canadian coverage combining the networks of Rogers, Bell, Telus and SaskTel. Users of the Telguard SIM can now leverage a single Web portal and customer support center for both cellular service and Telguard HomeControl activations. Telguard products and services are sold under the Telular brand in Canada.

“We are excited to take this next step toward deepening our partnership with DSC,” said Shawn Welsh, vice president of marketing and business development, Telular.

Along with the features and coverage benefits that come with choosing Telguard as a service provider, users of the Telguard SIM card now get seamless access to Telguard’s HomeControl OneRate, an all-inclusive home automation package. For one price, HomeControl OneRate includes Telguard cellular connectivity, remote arming and disarming, unlimited sensors, end user notifications, automated Z-Wave device control, and live and event-based video. Future features, such as panel upload/download via DSC’s DLS application, will also be included as they become available.
