Tech Systems Inc. (TSI) has appointed Wayne Smith president. He assumed responsibilities on November 11, 2015, following the official announcement to TSI’s employee-owners by Darryl Keeler, company founder who now serves as CEO and chairman.

Keeler said, “I will remain in the role as CEO and I have taken on the new responsibility as the chairman of our board of directors. With the ESOP now firmly in place my primary focus needs to be on creating a true sense of ownership for our team while Wayne’s concentration and efforts will become even more client centric.”

Smith has been part of the TSI team for nine years leading both sales and professional services. During that time the company has experienced tremendous growth while strengthening its service-centric culture and philosophy, according to a press release by TSI.

Prior to joining Tech Systems, Smith held various senior leadership roles His more than 23 years of experience is inclusive of both physical and information security responsibilities. Prior to working in commercial security, Smith served as a military police officer with the United States Army.
