The Security Canada Conference and Expositions, presented by CANASA, are planned throughout the country for 2016. The conferences are an ideal way for integrators and corporate end users from both Canada and the United States to view the latest product trends and technologies, participate in manufacturer and distributor training sessions, and network with fellow peers in the industry.

“We want everyone to know that these shows are the place to be,” said Steve Basnett, director of trade shows and events at the Canadian Security Association. “We have found that 82 percent of attendees at the shows only attend our shows, so for many people it’s the best place to see the latest technologies and meet with other professionals in the industry.”

Not only do the 4,700 professionals that participate in these events each year have the opportunity to connect with peers, manufacturers and distributors, but they can do so free of cost. “If you sign up, up to a week before the show, it is free. There is a nominal cost for CANASA members, and more for non-members, onsite on the day of the conference if you don’t sign up in advance, however,” Basnett explained.

In 2016, as part of Security Canada’s continued focus on innovation, the conferences will spotlight new products and services. Industry partners will be on hand to showcase the latest advances in the industry, tailored to the unique needs of the Canadian marketplace. Attendees can expect a full day (or two for the Toronto show) filled with exhibitor visits, manufacturer training sessions and networking opportunities.

These are the conference dates for the first half of 2016:

  • Security Canada East – Laval, Quebec, April 20, 2016
  • Security Canada Alberta – Edmonton, Alberta, May 11, 2016
  • Security Canada Ottawa – Ottawa, Ontario, June 1, 2016
