Telular Corporation, a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has surpassed one million IoT subscribers in the commercial telematics and security markets. To drive continued growth, the company has strengthened its position in the commercial telematics space by realigning its recent acquisitions under the SkyBitz business unit.

“Telular’s growth is a result of our focus on helping our customers uncover new revenue opportunities, lower operating costs, and improve productivity through a combination of award-winning technology, SaaS-based analytics and fleet management platforms, and the highest commitment to our customers’ success,” said Doug Milner, CEO, Telular. “We are honored to have been selected by the most progressive and innovative companies in the industries that we serve to be their partner in delivering more value from their fleet and asset investments.”

A portfolio company of Avista Capital Partners, Telular reported it has more than 30 years of experience in the wireless IoT industry. In June of 2015 Telular acquired GPS North America and Reltima, two commercial telematics companies in the local fleet management market. Additionally, in October 2015, Telular acquired SMARTLogix, a provider of petroleum management, inventory and transportation logistics solutions. These acquisitions along with Telular’s tank monitoring division were all brought together to leverage the brand strength of its SkyBitz business. SkyBitz is now the leader in commercial telematics with businesses focused on providing rapidly deployable solutions for enterprise fleets, local fleets, tank monitoring and petroleum logistics.
