CEDIA has named the 2016 volunteers of the year. Each has contributed significant time and lent their expertise to help develop and refine CEDIA programs and offerings. Each year CEDIA recognizes three individuals: a new volunteer, a training volunteer and an overall volunteer.

The recipients for 2016 are as follows:

Ian Bryant, ZenArray - Volunteer of the Year
Bryant has been an integral member of several volunteer groups over the years, and this year was no exception. CEDIA described him as the jack-of-all-trades volunteer who is always willing to roll up his sleeves to help. He received the Training Volunteer of the Year Award in 2011. This year Bryant has served on the Technical Working Group and chaired the CEDIA Home Technology Professional Awards Judging Task Force. Beyond these two commitments, he has also been indispensable in helping set up the training labs at the CEDIA show. As an Indianapolis resident, Bryant often lends his talents to help CEDIA HQ update and program in-house technology.

Mike Maniscalco, Ihiji - Training Volunteer of the Year
Maniscalco has been a consistent force for CEDIA education and training over the last year serving on Business Xchange Task Force and the IT Task Force as well as teaching several in-person training courses for CEDIA. Maniscalco is always willing to create new content and teach a new multi-day class, CEDIA described. He’s always interested in finding the topics that matter to the industry and the best way to convey that information.

Ryan Donaher, MAI - New Volunteer of the Year
In his first year of volunteering, Donaher has contributed above and beyond, CEDIA reported, posing thoughtful questions and continually keeping the entire organization’s interests in mind in everything he does. He embraces the spirit and community CEDIA wants to share and consistently steps up whenever and wherever help is needed, whether that means being a panelist on a new member webinar or calling members to get them engaged with the organization.

These three volunteers will be recognized for their contributions at the Volunteer Appreciation Event in the CEDIA Booth (#4710) on Friday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at CEDIA 2016.
