Mobile Enabled BLE Readers Deliver Integrated Access Control

AMAG Technology released Symmetry Blue, a new Bluetooth reader that AMAG said delivers a highly secure, convenient and intuitive alternative to open doors. The reader combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with card-reading capabilities to deliver integrated access control for Symmetry customers. The Symmetry Blue reader range is used with Android or iOS smartphones alongside or in place of traditional cards. The free app does not require a license, a separate portal or a third-party subscription, offering an affordable, easy-to-install access control solution in today’s BYOD environment. After a user downloads the app, he or she can open a door or entry point by holding their mobile device near the reader. Symmetry Blue is designed to work across the entire Symmetry product range and is compatible with any door controller.
