The Milestone Husky M500 Advanced NVR hardware platform with scalable VMS, from Milestone Systems, has been performance-tested to support 512 HD cameras with a guaranteed recording performance of 600Mb/s. The NVR has a versatile design to be a recording server, failover server, management server or can also be used as all-in-one video solution. A key contribution of the high performance of Husky M500 Advanced is the storage system’s use of Western Digital Purple hard drives. The M500 Advanced NVR supports up to 48 TB of internal raw storage and has the ability to archive to network-attached storage appliances when additional storage is required. Both Milestone XProtect Expert and XProtect Corporate software come preloaded on the Husky M500 Advanced NVR.
