ADI Shows Customer Appreciation at Annual Networking and Training Events
ADI, Melville, N.Y., joined together with more than 30 vendors to host a special event to thank customers for their continuous support at this year’s CEDIA EXPO 2010 in Atlanta, Ga. ADI also sponsored the CEDIA Learning Labs to provide attendees with hands-on training and real world experience.
More than 1,000 dealers had the opportunity to attend ADI’s fifth annual customer celebration event, held at the Opera Atlanta Event Center. The event was sponsored by manufacturers including Boston Acoustics, Denon, Key Digital, Linear, Middle Atlantic, Omnimount, Peerless, Proficient, Sharp, Universal Remote Control, Xantech and more. Customer and vendors enjoyed an exciting evening with food, refreshments and live entertainment from the popular, multi-platinum rock band Gin Blossoms.
“We had an excellent time this year at ADI’s event at CEDIA. The location and band were great, and it was really good to spend time networking with other dealers in the industry,” said Ron Rimawi, president of Digital Interiors in Alpharetta, Ga. “At the show, we spent about an hour at the ADI booth checking out the latest technology. As an ADI customer for 23 years, we recognize the value they provide us each day.”
For the third year, ADI sponsored the CEDIA Learning Labs to provide electronic systems contractors with practical real-world knowledge. The Learning Labs included four separate full-featured rooms equipped with the latest technology, and hosted 16 separate sessions linked to 12 CEDIA University courses. More than 800 dealers visited the Learning Labs and had the opportunity to get hands-on experience with IP and networking technology, lighting controls, 3D video, HDMI distribution, telephone systems and more.
“The Learning Labs were a really great experience. It was nice to have hands-on practice with the equipment, and the one-on-one setting with the manufacturers was very beneficial,” said Shane Horner, owner of Horner Networks LLC in Mentor, Ohio. “As a regular customer of ADI now for more than seven years, we attend many trainings at our local branch, appreciate the educational opportunities ADI provides us and look forward to participating in more events in the future.”
This year’s theme, ADI Brings Music to your Ears, highlighted the resources ADI offers to help dealers grow in the custom electronics market, the company said. More than 3,000 attendees visited ADI’s booth and had the opportunity to see some of the latest technology, and participate in ADI’s interactive Play List program for a chance to win daily prizes including a Mitsubishi 60-in. DLP 3D Ready TV. Dealers were able to pick up an ADI Webdecoder gamepiece to see if they were an instant prize winner, and entered for a chance to win a brand new Chevrolet Camaro SS through ADI’s Customer Appreciation Car Give Away Sweepstakes. Entries are collected at all U.S. ADI Expos and major industry tradeshows.
