CEDIA announced that it will offer special sessions on entertainment technologies, residential communications, digital home health, and HDMI at CEDIA EXPO 2010. These four panel discussions are being offered to all attendees by CEDIA’s Technology Council. CEDIA EXPO 2010 is scheduled to take place September 22-26, 2010 at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The session, “Future of Entertainment: Cloud Computing/Over The Top (OTT)” will cover the topics of next-generation gaming; 3D; 4K; and tablet PCs.

In “Future of Residential Communications,” session leaders will discuss the emergence of SkypeTV; social media integration; mobile device integration; and the impact of tablet PCs.

The session “Digital Home Health” explores a huge business opportunity. Attendees will be exposed to topics such as: Why “home” instead of “hospital;” the difference between “wellness” and “healthcare;” technologies available right now as well as technologies on the horizon; enterprise level (health records, tele-presence); and consumer level (data collection, health records, stand-alone gadgets).

Finally, “HDMI Hot Seat: HDMI integration issues” will cover content protection, such as HDCP and “tagging and flagging;” HDMI features such as CEC, Lip Sync, 4:4:4 color space, 4K; HDMI and cables; Ethernet and audio return path; and IP distribution as a viable alternative to HDMI.
