Honeywell, Syosset, N.Y., has combined its access and video systems business units into the Honeywell Systems Group. The name change is the result of an increased effort to provide dealer partners with an integrated solution including video and access components.

Engineers and marketing professionals from both groups now will work more closely to provide customers with seamless integrated solutions.

The Honeywell systems group will be able to more easily join efforts with other business units, such as Honeywell process solutions. For integrators, this means the ability to share relationships that could create new business opportunities.

The Honeywell Systems Group will be headed by John Lorenty, who recently was named president of the division, and will be headquartered in Louisville, Ky.

Honeywell also has changed the name of NexWatch to Honeywell Integrated Security. The name change is a result of customer research that indicated customers’ and integrators’ strong preferences to be associated with the Honeywell brand.
