SDM to Host Gala Dinner for SDM 100 Firms

SDM Magazine, publisher of the SDM 100, which identifies the largest dealers in the U.S. security market, announced it will host the first SDM 100 Gala, May 20, 2006, in Savannah, Ga. during the 2006 CSAA Electronic Security Forum & Exposition.

“SDM Magazine is so pleased to have the opportunity to honor the 2006 SDM 100 companies at our first-ever recognition gala,” said Laura Stepanek, SDM Editor/Associate Publisher. “The SDM 100, now in its 16th year, is a benchmark of the electronic security industry for both industry professionals and observers.”

Each member of the SDM 100 will be invited to attend the gala as a guest of SDM and the SDM 100 Gala sponsors. This unique and special event will honor the leading security installation and monitoring companies in the U.S. during the Central Station Alarm Association’s (CSAA) Electronic Security Forum and Exposition held at the Hyatt Regency Savannah, Ga. on May 17-21. Additional tickets may be purchased through SDM.

Since its founding in 1950, CSAA has worked to foster and improve relations between its members and various related groups: law enforcement and fire officials, the insurance industry, equipment suppliers and government/regulatory agencies.

CSAA, normally a member-only group, opens the Electronic Security Forum and Exposition to the entire security industry. “CSAA is thrilled to put on this conference every year for so many attendees. The content is rich and will enhance all aspects of a security professional career,” said John A. Murphy, president of CSAA and president of SDM 100 company, Vector Security, ranked as No. 7 in 2005.

All electronic security professionals, from CEOs, general managers, and central station managers, to finance, sales, and technical staffs, will benefit from this meeting and exposition, which offers highly targeted educational sessions on how to improve a company’s operations and increase revenue. In addition, the forum offers seminars on the latest security technologies, as well as a one-day seminar on how a central station can become UL listed. All seminars confer continuing education units (CEUs) to the attendees.

The partnership of CSAA and SDM presents an excellent forum to bring together SDM 100 honorees and their partner companies to such a beautiful location. The Hyatt Regency in Savannah will host both the 2006 Electronic Security Forum and the SDM 100 Gala in their fabulous glass-enclosed facility that overlooks the Savannah River. The SDM 100 Gala will provide award-winning food, recognition awards, cocktails and enchanting entertainment.

This first-time event will bring together an opportunity to attend the CSAA Forum and Exposition and earn CEUs, participate in the exclusive SDM 100 Gala and engage in new security relationships in beautiful Savannah, Ga.
