Smart Card Guidelines Met

AMAG Technology, Torrance, Calif., a developer of advanced-technology security management systems, has aligned its product development programs to ensure full compliance with the new government guidelines for smart cards.

The U.S. governmentâ€™s Physical Access Interagency Interoperability Working Group (PAIIWG) released version 2.2 of its technical implementation guidance for the deployment of smart-card-enabled physical access control systems (PACS) within all federal facilities. The standards expand on the PACs-related directives of the previously released version.

In other AMAG news, Walter Coady has been named mid-Atlantic regional sales manager for the company. In the newly created position, Coady oversees the companyâ€™s business development and customer service operations in that region.
