Stanley Acquires 2 More Sonitrol Franchises

Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc. (Stanley CSS), Naperville, Ill., announced the purchase of Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Sonitrol of Tulsa. Sonitrol of Oklahoma City was founded in 1979 and Sonitrol of Tulsa was founded in 1975. According to a press release, the sale includes mostly commercial accounts including retail, restaurant, industrial, financial and educational customers, as well as government and residential accounts. Terms of the sales were not disclosed.

“The Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa acquisitions allow us to increase our presence and density in the Oklahoma area, where we have two existing Stanley CSS offices. As we continue to grow, we look forward to working with our new Sonitrol customers by upholding Stanley CSS’s commitment and dedication to operational excellence across the five customer touchpoints: account management, installation, service, monitoring and billing,” stated Tony Byerly, president of Stanley CSS North America and United Kingdom Direct.

Sonitrol impact activated audio verified monitoring can determine if a break-in is in progress or if a false alarm has occurred. According to the company, Sonitrol technology delivers one of the highest number of police apprehensions and one of the lowest false alarm rates in the security industry — 160,000-plus apprehensions since 1977.

Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa customers will be serviced by the existing Stanley CSS offices located in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Rob Cass, one of the previous owners of the franchise businesses, will be joining Stanley CSS as the district general manager for the combined businesses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
