In today’s fast paced, highly competitive world, good leadership skills are essential. We are all experiencing increased pressure to deliver results with diminishing resources. Companies cannot afford to get less than the best out of their staff. Great leaders strive for improvement in personal effectiveness. Developing leadership skills and improving leadership skill sets require a disciplined, concentrated effort in addition to passion. PSA Security Network is committed to helping physical security professionals enhance their leadership skills and expand their influence.

This year, PSA Security Network is proud to be offering leadership education throughout various events. Fast approaching, in April 2013, we will be highlighting leadership at ISC West in Las Vegas. ISC West is one of the premier security events of the year, showcasing the latest and greatest in security technology. Our course, “Leadership at all Levels: Integrator-Proven Practices to Increase Professionalism and Profitability,” will showcase an expert panel of integrators ready to demonstrate how effective leadership within the organization can drive success for the company as a whole. Integrator owners, project managers, sales managers or representatives, or any other roles within a security integration business can guide the team and the organization forward with quality leadership practices. This is an opportunity to learn from fellow industry-professionals and is a can't-miss session for all!

Additionally, PSA will be highlighting leadership at our own PSA-TEC event this year, with a session entitled, “Your Core Leadership Style Got You Here: Will it Take You Where You Want to Go?”One leadership style does not fit all circumstances and one style will not appeal to all coworkers and colleagues. As a result, leaders must recognize their natural leadership style, and accept that there is no single, “correct” way to lead. During the workshop participants will learn their core leadership style and will be exposed to strategies for becoming a more flexible and effective leader. They will learn the value of adapting their style by stretching beyond their primary leadership dimension as challenges in their work environment change. Each participant will receive a comprehensive, personalized Talent Insights® Report reflecting their distinctive behavioral and motivational styles. In addition, this course is eligible for Continuing Education Credits (CECs) with ASIS, BICSI and NICET.

PSA’s commitment to this important topic remains strong. Watch for future leadership sessions at industry events, where current resources and applicable leadership topics will continue to be shared with the security community.  For more information visit www.psaTEC.comand www.psaLeadership.com.
