As part of its ongoing expansion in the mid-South, Interface Security Systems LLC, St. Louis, has completed acquisition of Phillips-Doby Security Systems Inc. Terms of the transaction are being kept confidential by mutual consent of the parties.

“Phillips-Doby is the premier provider of electronic security services in central Mississippi with a solid traditional, commercial and residential customer base,” commented Michael Shaw, Interface’s chief executive officer.

“Don Williams has built an outstanding company over the years, and we are pleased that he is now a member of the Interface management team,” Shaw said. “The Phillips-Doby employees will continue to play an active role in providing these customers with quality service going forward.”

Interface ranked No. 14 in the most recent SDM 100. It provides installation, maintenance and monitoring services to commercial and residential customers in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The company also provides fully integrated intrusion, fire, managed access control and interactive video surveillance systems to large commercial customers.

Founded in 1959, Phillips-Doby is the largest independent security company in Mississippi. It serves approximately 3,200 monitored subscribers in central Mississippi and has offices in Waynesboro and Hattiesburg.

The Phillips-Doby acquisition represents the 20th transaction that Interface has completed since beginning an aggressive regional growth strategy in 2002 focused in the mid-American states.

Shaw predicts that Interface will continue its expansion through acquisitions and internal growth initiatives. To learn more about the company, log onto www.Interfacesys.com.
