Powerline Control Systems announces that Simply Automated Inc. has become the latest licensee of UPB technology and introduces a new line of reliable UPB-base control modules designed for ease-of-use and self-installation. These four new UPB home automation modules provide homeowners with a simple, reliable means to locally or remotely control lighting and appliances in their homes, as an alternative to hardwired or wireless control systems. The line includes: model UMC computer interface module; model UML lamp module; model UMA appliance module; and model URD controlled duplex receptacle. The modules are based on the Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) technology developed and patented by Powerline Control Systems Inc. (PCS). UPB transmits control commands to various devices in the home over existing power circuits. Powerline Control Systems
