McLellan
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) elected Jay McLellan, president of Home Automation Inc. (HAI) New Orleans, as chairman of the 2006 TechHome Division Board. The board’s role is to provide guidance with regard to benefits, services and initiatives for integrators, as well as a forum for discussing business issues. The election also places McLellan on the CEA executive board. David Epstein of Sound Solutions was elected as vice-chair of the TechHome Division board.
“[TechHome’s] major goals for 2006 and beyond are educational programs to bring more technicians to the business, advocacy for consistent state and federal approaches to the trade and membership growth,†McLellan said.
