ADS has relocated its Nashville headquarters.

ADS Security, an electronic security company, relocated its Nashville corporate headquarters to an 18,000 square-foot building at 3001 Armory Drive, Nashville, in a move that anticipates continued growth. The new corporate office space, which is leased from H.G. Hill Realty Company LLC, is approximately 80 percent larger than the company’s location for the past eight years at 701 Bradford Avenue.

The move cost approximately $2.2 million, and involved the build-out of the facility and the installation of all new hardware, software, and emergency backup systems technology for the ADS Security central station, which monitors approximately 60,000 commercial and residential accounts in 18 states.

“Our new corporate office on Armory Drive gives us ‘room to grow’,” said Mel Mahler, president of ADS Security. “We have signed a 10-year lease on the space.”

“We ran more than 14 miles of wiring in the new building to facilitate all ADS Security operations,” said Lela Mullins, senior vice president of monitoring operations. “The installation also required more than 600 man hours to install the network for the computers and telephone system, the fully integrated access control, closed circuit television system, and burglar and fire systems.”

ADS Security, founded in Nashville in 1989, operates 13 offices in four southeastern states and employs 210 people, including 54 people who work in its corporate office and 23 people employed by its Nashville operation. ADS Security ranked 21st on the 2006 SDM 100 (SDM, May 2006, p. 61).
