Home » IP Software Developer Receives Award from Danish Royalty
The
Danish royal ship Dannebrog was the setting on June 15 for Prince Henrik of Denmark
to hand out this year’s King Frederik IX award for excellence in export in the
IT technology sector. Milestone Systems, Copenhagen,
president and chief executive officer Lars Thinggaard accepted this honor.
Since its founding twelve years ago, Milestone Systems has been recognized by
IMS Research five years in a row as number one in the world in the open
platform IP network-based video surveillance software market sector. Milestone
has measured an average annual growth of 40 percent, with 94 percent of its business
today done via export.
“Our channel partners are an important cornerstone in our access to the market,
so the honor for the success we achieve is also shared by them,” said
Thinggaard. “[This award] illustrates how our industry is on a growth
trajectory. Milestone is helping to drive the conversion from analog to IP
surveillance technology, which presents huge potential for us — both on the home front
and in markets around the globe.”
