The Security Industry Association (SIA) made several new appointments and re-elected members to its board of directors. Ray Dean, Niscayah vice president of enterprise; Ken Francis, UTC Fire & Security vice president of sales and marketing; Lisa Roy, vice president global security and strategy at Johnson Controls, and Bill Taylor, president of Panasonic System Networks Company of America (PSNA); joined the board. Chris Gerace, president of Bosch Security Systems North America; Denis Hébert, president and chief executive officer of HID Global; Kenneth LaMarca, director of security products for Sony Electronics; Scott Schafer, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Arecont Vision; and Steve Van Till, president and chief exectuive officer of Brivo Systems, were re-elected to the board. SIA, a trade group for businesses in the electronic and physical security market, aims to protect and advance its members’ interests through a variety of proactive activities including legislative initiatives, market research, development of industry standards, educational and trade show events.
“The SIA plays an important role in our industry, and I am excited about the opportunity to serve as a member of its board of directors,” Taylor said. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on the SIA board to help formulate the necessary roadmap to guide our rapidly evolving industry.”
