The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) released the 2014 National Electrical Code® (NEC®) in digital format. It is available in PDF and through the National Fire Codes® Subscription Service All Access (NFCSS). The hard copy of the code is expected to be available by the end of August and the first of several open registration four-day seminars based on the 2014 edition took place at NFPA headquarters in Quincy, Mass. in August.
“To members of the electrical community, especially those that live and breathe the NEC, the release of the latest edition of the code is highly anticipated because it provides the most up-to-date electrical safety requirements that will impact their work,” said Mark Earley, NFPA’s chief electrical engineer.
