Brivo Labs Develops Social Access Management Solution for Google Glass
Brivo Labs, a business unit of Bethesda, Md.-based security management solutions provider Brivo Systems, has rolled out OKDoor, its first market offering. The solution is a Glassware application that integrates with Brivo Labs’ social access management (SAM) API to provide physical access using Google Glass. Brivo Labs focuses on the emerging SAM market to develop products and solutions that use social network identities to enhance the everyday experience of entering physical places. According to the company, OKDoor is one of the first integrations to connect Google Glass to physical access management.
According to Lee Odess, Brivo’s vice president of marketing, OKDoor was created specifically to showcase the capabilities of Brivo Labs’ SAM API. “We are excited to reinforce our leadership position in the Social Access Management space and show innovative examples of how we merge current technologies with traditional security and access control,” he said. “OKDoor is a prime example of the convergence of these two areas.”
