American Dynamics, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco, released VideoEdge Micro, a compact version of the VideoEdge NVR. An embedded PoE switch detects and provides power to IP cameras, while an auto discovery feature identifies and helps assign IP addresses to cameras on the network. The product includes features such as embedded analytics. It also features one of the highest throughputs for a compact NVR at 80Mbps, enabling users to view high-quality video in real time even through narrow bandwidth connections.
