Vistacom Celebrates 65 Years of Audiovisual Innovation
The Vistacom team is celebrating its 65th year in business in 2019. Originally named the Daveland Company, Vistacom was founded in Allentown, Penn. in 1954 with a staff of six people, led by founder Jack Ferlino. Starting with the installation of the first intercoms and background music systems in local businesses, Vistacom started to grow alongside the quickly changing audio communications industry. The company installed the first paging systems in town in the late 1950s, set up the city's first and only public air raid system in the 1960s and installed the audio system in Veterans Stadium, the former home of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, in 1980.
With the introduction of video technology in installations in 1989, Vistacom advanced as a premier audiovisual integrator in an emerging digital landscape. Vistacom now installs high end, integrated technology solutions, such as video conferencing in hospital settings that allows physicians to offer remote care, small to large meeting spaces with advanced collaboration tools and the ability to easily include remote participants and security operations centers around the world.
