I arrived in Las Vegas this afternoon to attend the 53rd Annual Seminar and Exhibits of ASIS International.

Founded in 1955 as the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the organization officially changed its name in 2002 to ASIS International. ASIS International describes itself as the largest organization for security professionals, with more than 35,000 members worldwide. The organization is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as this event, as well as specific security topics.

 

The Seminar and Exhibits begins tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 24, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More than 23,000 security professionals from all over the world are expected to attend.
