A leadership change has occurred at the 6th largest security company ranked on the SDM 100. Tim Whall has left HSM Electronic Protection Services, Lisle, Ill., and he has been replaced by Tony Byerly as chief operating officer. Byerly formerly was senior vice president, sales and national accounts. The change is effective immediately, according to a source close to the company, who said that Whall had left to pursue another opportunity.
HSM was honored as SDM's 2005 Dealer of the Year, and also as the First Line of Defense Award winner in March 2007. The company reported $9.2 million in monthly recurring revenue in 2006, on a subscriber base of 174,000 accounts.
