Covering a range of technical information, including installation, programming and trouble-shooting, Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell continues its free series of fire alarm systems training. Courses feature hands-on exercises using the latest fire alarm control and IP communication products. Two courses are available.

MiniScan Academy is a three-day training course that begins with a half-day of basic fire alarm technology covering the primary and secondary functions of a fire alarm control panel, various initiating and notification devices, digital communicators, waterflow alarm and sprinkler monitoring.  Training continues on conventional and addressable fire alarm control panels, including product features, installation methods, programming and troubleshooting. A final segment addresses power supply fundamentals and includes a hands-on exercise covering common applications.

SuperLite Academy is a two-day course featuring instruction in the capabilities, installation, programming and troubleshooting of manufactured addressable control panels. It features two hours of installation and configuration training on Fire-Lite's IPDACT module that transmits alarms from a fire alarm control panel via an IP network line.

Openings are still available for several course offerings at locations throughout the country. See the listings below for availability. Attendees qualify for continuing education credits from the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, depending on course completed. Visit www.firelite.com for more information.
