Video IQ's Holly Tsourides, Quantum Secure's Laurie Aaron, and WeSuite's Tracy Larson (left to right) raised $13,000 in sponsorships through their participation in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walk, held July 22-24 in Boston.

On behalf of the entire SDM team, congratulations to three great women in security who, this past weekend, completed the 2011 Boston Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure — Holly Tsourides, vice president, Worldwide Sales, VideoIQ; Laurie Aaron, vice president, Government & Alliances, Quantum Secure; and Tracy Larson, president, WeSuite.

Their team, called Miles4Mamms, walked in extreme heat all three days, as well as occasional thunderstorms. “We finished in beautiful sunshine, dancing our way into the final stadium. This was a beautiful walk into Boston, through Cambridge and Harvard Square and into downtown, through South Boston, then along a beautiful beach area and finally ended at U Mass for our big celebration!” Larson exclaimed.

“It was really a phenomenal experience and we all felt great. Our little team felt we had prepared well and really were grateful for how well we felt in the end. We raised almost $13,000 thanks to everyone who supported us. The Boston walk raised $4.8 million. I was blown away by this,” she described.

“There were about 1,700 walkers, there were many survivors and so many others affected by this disease. The Susan G. Komen Foundation has really made early detection, breast cancer treatment and the statistics on survival something the U.S. can be proud of,” Larson said.
