The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced the speaker line-up for Securing New Ground (SNG), the organization’s executive conference for security professionals, taking place on Oct. 28 in a virtual format.

 Through this year’s RISE Scholarship program, selected candidates will receive $3,000 awards that can be used toward continuing education, student loan repayment and professional development programs such as training and certifications.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced details for the 2021 AcceleRISE conference taking place virtually Aug. 23-25.

It is the first certification focused on cybersecurity and physical security convergence. 

The TIME program is designed to promote diversity, equity and inclusion and empowerment of underrepresented identities in the security industry by creating a well-defined pathway for learning and development.

Brendan McFall, technical project manager, Northland Controls, became the new chair of the SIA RISE Networking Group, volunteering his time to support career resources for young professionals in the security industry.

The Security Industry Association (SIA), the nonprofit association representing global security companies, and University of Phoenix have awarded full-tuition scholarships to 11 full-time employees from SIA member companies. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix.
