There is no shortage of great distributors within the custom/consumer electronics industry. However, there are none that focus entirely on providing integrators with green technology products — until now.

Energy Squad, a new distribution company on a mission to provide the green technology customers need, made its official debut to the custom installation industry at CEDIA EXPO 2012.

Energy Squad said in a press release it plans to provide residential and commercial integrators throughout the United States with a vast assortment of best-in-class environmentally-friendly tech products, including LED lighting, home automation systems, audio/video products, HVAC, energy management solutions and more.

The team behind Energy Squad has experience in the custom electronics and green tech industries, as well as the retail and distribution channels within those markets. This enables Energy Squad to effectively and efficiently address the unique needs of integrators within the custom installation industry, the company said. Additionally, based on the team at Energy Squad’s experience, the distributor will work with its vendors and partners to develop environmentally-friendly products designed to address the specific needs of the custom installation industry.

We have seen how limited professional systems integrators are when it comes to finding resources to provide them with information on the latest in environmentally-friendly products," said Jonathan Stovall, founder and chief executive officer of Energy Squad. "Energy Squad grew out of our desire to help fill that void based on our passion to promote the growth of green technology products and services. Now, integrators will have a trusted distribution partner that they can turn to for exclusive green tech products, service, education and support. At Energy Squad, we are green tech.”

Authorized Energy Squad dealers can have products shipped anywhere in the United States with select purchases qualifying for free freight.

The "eco-distributor" will work with its internal sales team as well as a team of regional rep firms to provide integrators with superior customer support, it said. The Energy Squad team will also work with manufacturers and service providers to supply integrators with an array of educational opportunities, enabling them to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving world of green technology.

As part of its mission to promote the widespread use of green tech, Energy Squad brings together integrators and consumers, leveraging the distributor's industry expertise in green tech to help educate consumers about the advancements and benefits of environmentally-friendly technology.

Energy Squad’s assortment of environmentally-friendly products will be available beginning Q4 of 2012.
