ADS Security has teamed up with the Red Cross for a home fire campaign to install 100,000 smoke detectors between April 21 and May 13 in communities across the Southeast.
Memphis-based Electronic Security Specialists (ESSC), a licensed low voltage contractor that installs and services electronic security equipment spanning burglar and fire alarm systems, CCTV systems and access control systems, purchased required commercial fire alarm accounts from neighboring Frase Protection.
Mike Carli, president of Allegiant Fire Protection, said, “When we learned of the future divestiture (of certain assets of Valley Fire Protection Services), we saw an opportunity to use our expertise and build an outstanding company doing what we know best — fire alarms and life safety inspections.”

These standards now include criteria that address smoke characteristics between a fast-moving and smoldering fire, and the flammability of materials in modern household products. As well, the organization celebrated the grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art Smoke Detection Test Laboratory in Northbrook, Ill., on February 8.
