Digital Monitoring Products (DMP), Springfield, Mo., a privately held independent manufacturer of innovative intrusion, fire, access control, network and cellular communication products, and Protection 1, Romeville, Ill., a provider of installation, maintenance, and monitoring of single-family home security systems, business security systems and multifamily security systems entered into a new business partnership. Protection 1 will expand the national network of authorized DMP dealers as a commercial national account dealer. Protection 1 will have access to the line of DMP technology for intrusion, fire, and access control systems in commercial security applications. 

“The DMP network of authorized dealers includes a spectrum of organizations,” said Mark NeSmith, vice president of sales, DMP. “We partner with a variety of qualified security providers which includes larger multi-location organizations. We are pleased and excited to add Protection 1, one of the nation’s largest security system dealers, as the newest member of our network of security professionals. DMP will manufacture a special line of products for use by Protection 1 which will include a unique control panel and keypad. The partnership launched formally on Aug. 8, when DMP representatives were on site at the majority of Protection 1 locations to introduce their security professionals to the DMP organization and products. 

Protection 1 is ranked as the second largest electronic security company in the U.S. in the SDM 100.
