Proximex Adds Snyder to Advisory Board

Michael Snyder, a consultant and former long-time executive at ADT, last week joined the advisory board of Proximex, a developer of products for the physical security information management (PSIM) market.

Most well-known in the security industry for his 30-year tenure at ADT Security Services, Snyder held several management positions, culminating in the role of president and chief operating officer for North America in 1997, a position he held for nearly ten years. In that time, revenues grew more than six-fold as ADT’s customer base ballooned to more than 6 million through a strategy of direct and indirect distribution and acquisition; the ADT Call Center and Service Strategy was also developed and deployed.

Proximex has the ability “to provide … system deployment and customer service while bringing PSIM benefits to the business level by extending the life of major portions of embedded security expenditures,” Snyder said. “Proximex is also looking ahead to guide companies on integrating information from other business applications and systems. I believe that focusing on the customer is an integral part of success.”

“We’re extremely pleased that Mike agreed to join our  board,” said Jack Smith, chief executive officer for Proximex. “Mike’s experience with physical security technology, customer acquisition and retention, and strategic program development is hard to beat, and we look forward to his strategic insight, practical guidance and leveraging the relationships that he has built.”

Snyder is a partner with GSC Consultants, a management consulting firm for service industry companies that focuses on growth and strategy development within the private equity and security markets.
