Less than 2 weeks after Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc. (Stanley CSS), Naperville, Ill., announced the purchase of Sonitrol of the Tri-State, a Sonitrol dealer located in Leesburg, Va., Stanley CSS had a second acquisition to announce, the purchase of Sonitrol of Allentown, a Sonitrol franchise since 1979, located in Allentown, Pa.  The sale includes mostly commercial accounts including retail, restaurant, industrial, financial, service and education customers being serviced throughout Eastern Pennsylvania.  Sonitrol of Allentown had been owned by John and Carmen Steele since 1983.

“The acquisition of the Sonitrol of Allentown franchise is a natural fit for us as a provider of Sonitrol products and services, with over 52,000 Sonitrol customers nationwide.  We’re excited to be adding Sonitrol of Allentown’s customers to the Stanley family,” stated Tony Byerly, president and chief operating officer of Stanley CSS North America and United Kingdom Direct.

Sonitrol of Allentown customers will be serviced by the existing Stanley CSS office located in Langhorne, Pa.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
