NBFAA Welcomes Back Virginia Chapter

The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), Irving, Texas, board of directors unanimously welcomed the Virginia Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (VBFAA) back as a chartered chapter during NBFAA’s Leadership Summit. The VBFAA board of directors voted at the end of 2007 to rejoin the chapter alliance, and NBFAA made it official at the board meeting.

“The Virginia board of directors had been considering the move for some time. After reviewing the benefits that the membership and chapter receive from affiliation with NBFAA at our annual meeting in 2007, it was a unanimous decision by members present,” said VBFAA President John D. Kochensparger, president, Certified Training Academy, Ashland, Va.

“It is great the way the NBFAA board and chapters are welcoming Virginia back with such vigor. We are privileged to, once again, work alongside NBFAA and its chapters. We believe that this partnership lends great value to our members. With this move, our members will enhance their national networking, support and representation. And, equally important, we add Virginia’s support to strengthen the ‘collective voice’ of the industry as a whole,” Kochensparger added.
