AIN Changes Name to GE Home Technologies

October 1, 2006

The Authorized Integrator Network (AIN) has changed its name to GE Home Technologies. The name change was announced at the group’s meeting Sept. 14 at the Oxford Hotel in Denver during the 2006 expo of the Custom Electronic Design Installation Association (CEDIA), Indianapolis.

AIN was formed last year by security dealers and systems integrators to market home control and audio/video systems through builders to homeowners by sharing with the builders a percentage of the recurring revenue.

“This will give AIN better brand name recognition,” asserted Alvin Klement, national sales manager of Klipsch Audio Technologies, Indian-apolis, one of AIN’s manufacturing partners, about the name change.

Joseph Colosimo, president of Guardian Protection Services, Pitts-burgh, agreed that he expects the name change will benefit AIN greatly.

Other manufacturing partners in AIN include General Electric, Sony Electronics, H-P Products and Philips. Members of the GE Home Tech-

nologies group commented that GE’s high name recognition not only with consumers but in the builder channel should help build the group’s business.

Programs by the manufacturer partners about their products were held during the afternoon along with presentations by Stan Matysiak, president of GE Home Technologies, Jay Hutt, vice president, Larry Wright, vice president, and Michelle Burczyk and John Begeny of JPS Marketing.

The new GE Home Technologies logo was emblazoned in blue on an ice sculpture during the cocktail reception and dinner that followed at McCormick’s at the Oxford.
