Axis Program Receives BICSI Accreditation

Axis Communications’ AXIS Academy training program participants will earn 13 continuing education credits (CECs) recognized by BICSI, in addition to an Axis certification participants receive at the end of training.

BICSI, Tampa, Fla., is a professional association supporting the information transport systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment for individuals and companies. BICSI serves more than 25,000 ITS professionals, including designers, installers and technicians. ITS professionals provide the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life safety and automation systems. Since technological advances are occurring at faster rates, continuing education for ITS industry professionals is vital to maintaining quality information transport systems installations and design.

“BICSI’s CEC designation for AXIS Academy reinforces the quality of our training programs and our overall commitment to our channel partners,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications, Chelmsford, Mass.

As a benefit to the partners in the Axis Channel Partner Program, AXIS Academy educates participants on different aspects of IP surveillance. The academy course levels range from introductory classes to higher levels with a greater focus on more specialized topics. AXIS Academy course work is ideal for sales engineers, technical sales support, technicians and business development professionals with IT or CCTV backgrounds. During the training program, participants review in-depth presentations, participate in hands-on lab exercises, contribute to group discussions and take a certification exam.
