Fire Alarm Professionals: In-Depth Training at the National Training Conference

Are you a fire alarm professional who is involved in the design, sale, installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of fire alarm systems? Do you have a complete understanding of the fire alarm codes and fire alarm system design? As a fire alarm professional it is up to you to ensure that your customers are getting a code-compliant system that results in life safety.

National Training Center (NTC), a leading training provider for the low-voltage industry makes it a priority to provide the most up-to-date information available for fire alarm professionals. NTC’s Fire Alarm System Design course is one of the courses offered at the National Training Conference in Las Vegas, February 7 – 8, 2011.

This vital course discusses proper application of the fire alarm codes and reinforces the student’s ability to properly apply the codes. Students attending this course will develop a stronger understanding of fire alarm systems, including the requirements of NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code), NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code), NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), and the IBC (International Building Code).

Students will experience fire alarm system design and code application by applying their knowledge to sample fire alarm system projects. This is a practical applications-based training course. Therefore, the information covered directly applies to everyday work in the industry. This course provides students with in-depth information on code compliance and proven standard practices for the industry. Throughout the course there is an emphasis on safety, professional ethics, and doing the right thing.

Students will receive a copy of the following NTC Professional References: NTC Orange Book (Chuck Notes – Fire Alarm Code Quick Reference Book), and NTC Brown Book (Fire Alarm Systems Design and Installation). Students will also receive a copy of NFPA 72, and the National Fire Alarm Code, 2010 edition.
