SANYO Security Systems, a division of SANYO Fisher Company, introduced its new high-definition (HD) megapixel IP video surveillance camera with H.264 compression. The new VCC-HD4000 is the first true H.264 HD camera designed to address the needs of the security market, the company said. “By reducing the number of cameras needed for large-scale coverage, optimizing bandwidth and delivering more detailed images for real-time viewing in addition to video analytics, SANYO’s new HD megapixel camera provides tangible ROI for this market,” noted SANYO’s Frank Abram. The SANYO VCC-HD4000 features dual CODEC H.264 and JPEG compression engines. 1920 x 1080p in 16 x 9 ratio delivers true HD performance, while an on-board Web browser enables VoN.
