New Orleans-based HAI (Home Automation Inc.) announced its donation of 150 ENERGY STAR Omnistat2 Thermostats to Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, which was launched in December 2007 to build 150 affordable, sustainable homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward for residents impacted by Hurricane Katrina.

“HAI just completed its most successful sales year ever in 2008. We are happy to be in a position to help promote energy efficiency while being able to lend support for those needing help in our own backyard,” said Jay McLellan, HAI president. “The Omnistat2 programmable thermostats help to reduce bills and allow homeowners to view weekly usage levels of their A/C and heating units. The simple programming feature lets homeowners pre-set temperatures for different times and days of the week, based upon their needs. We see the ENERGY STAR Omnistat2 thermostat as a perfect fit for eco-friendly homeowners.”
