JOYSTICK OPERATES NETWORK DOME CAMERAS

The AXIS 231D+ network dome camera and the AXIS 232D+ network dome camera from Axis Communications can be operated with the AXIS 295 video surveillance joystick to provide continuous, 360 deg. PTZ over IP networks. The AXIS 231D+ and AXIS 232D+ deliver full frame rate video up to 30 fps and multiple video streams with simultaneous MJPEG and MPEG-4 compression. Both allow users to program 20 preset positions and an automatic guard tour to automatically monitor activities in key areas. The joystick control is designed to improve the PTZ responsiveness and control accuracy for these dome cameras. The Axis joystick uses a USB connection and operates over an IP network. It integrates seamlessly with any video surveillance software platform that recognizes joystick inputs from Microsoft’s DirectX.
